Imagendary Studios is searching for a versatile Senior Environment Artist to join our core team developing high quality AAA games and films. You’ll be part of a close-knit, collaborative community of artists, engineers and designers whose sole goal is to make a truly epic and immersive game experience. Responsibilities:

Skills & Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience designing, modeling and texturing high-quality environments assets using Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, and Substance Designer/Painter (or equivalent 3D and 2D programs) as a professional Environment Artist in AAA games and/or films.
  • Next-gen modeling, sculpting and procedural techniques and you know how to use them effectively to create a realistic sci-fi art style with allure and appeal.
  • Thorough understanding of current real-time PBR pipelines, texturing/shading and workflows as well as new trends regarding AAA-asset creation standards.
  • Can interpret artistic direction with ease, with or without concept art.
  • Able to filter and evaluate artistic critiques on a professional level.

Our animation department is looking for a resourceful Technical Animator to join our Art Development Team. Our ideal candidate combines a strong technical background in animation or engineering with deep knowledge of the 3D art development pipeline.

As a Technical Animator you will be supporting the Animation Lead, innovating on our animation systems and producing high-end animation rigs for the animation team. We are looking for a full-time freelance animator to animate scripts into short videos, from anywhere in the world (very basic English required). You will be working on a Youtube channel that gets over 100 million views per month.

Skills & Requirements

  • The average video length will be 8-12 minutes
  • There will be at least 1 video a week.
  • Each video should take from 3 to a maximum of 10 days to be done.
  • Every 3-10 days we will send you a new script.
  • The scripts will be sent along with their VO, it is possible to send 2 scripts at a time. 
  • You can work whenever in the day, any day you want, but the expectation is that you will put enough hours into it to complete 1 video a week. There is an unlimited amount of videos you can produce.

Required Qualifications

§  MFA or equivalent degree from an accredited institution in animation or a related discipline; or a BA or BFA degree along with significant, sustained, and exemplary professional experience

§  Demonstrated animation industry experience with evidence of studio practice in the production of character-based animation

§  Evidence of knowledge of the character animation filmmaking process—showing a strong interest in story-telling and the use of character animation as a story-telling tool

§  Storyboard work should include 5-10 samples of storyboard work (not pages, but discreet storyboard samples from selected productions)

§  Include 5-10 pages of life drawing and/or 5-10 animal life drawings

Finalists:

As a Lead Game Designer at Massive you'll be challenged with mentoring, managing, and guiding a team of designers to ensure our game is fun! You'll lead a Player, Weapons, and Tools game design team, focusing on the player’s moment-to-moment experience (their weapons, tools, abilities, and the 3C's: Control, Character, and Camera).

You'll be supported by a Production team (Producers & Coordinators), and primarily collaborate with fellow Leads, and a cross-discipline task force (consisting of designers, coders, animators & artists), all focused on the player experience.

Responsibilities: 

  • Participating in the development of our project's design vision, specific to Game Design, and together with our core Directors and additional Design Leads;
  • Translating the game's creative vision into tangible designs and game experiences together with your team;
  • Coaching, managing, and mentoring a team of Game Designers;
  • Reviewing the team’s efforts to ensure we meet our quality targets;
  • Collaborating with our production staff to scope and plan your team's goals, prioritizing features;
  • Communicating the project objectives, strategies, and general info to all team members, giving visibility to dev advancements;  
  • Working closely with stakeholders in other gameplay and content departments to conceive and design environments that are in line with the lore, but are also innovative and fun to play; 
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to develop and enhance tools and processes used to build our game.

Skills & Requirements

You have a passion for Game Design, how a game "feels", and the player's experience, but you also take pride in enabling and developing the Designers around you, coaching your team to deliver the highest possible quality. You have previous experience driving a team through a AAA game release (or a similar-sized production) and are a great people manager. 

Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience: 

  • You have shipped at least 1 game project in a Lead role, ideally a major AAA Open World title;
  • Proven professional experience as a game designer through several development cycles;
  • Comfortable implementing designs in engine and writing game design documents;
  • Familiar with game engines such as Unreal 4, Snowdrop, Unity, and visual scripting; 
  • Able to break down and explain the design process to both expert game designers and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Utilize 2D cut-out animation software to generate fluid classical looking animation.
  • 3+ years of working experience in animation
  • Proven experience in animation software (i.e. ToonBoom, Adobe Animate CC)
  • Experience with rigging systems
  • Confidence in creating smooth character animations that bring life to our games
  • Exceptional ability to communicate ideas through verbal, written and visual means
  • Ability to work creatively in a demanding (but fun!) team-focused environment

The successful candidate will:

  • assist in Layout meetings for each episode and create the layouts shots in Harmony Toon Boom coordinating with all departmental supervisors.

      TERRITORY STUDIO – CG SUPERVISOR

      Key responsibility

      The CG Supervisor leads creative teams to deliver outstanding visual effects work in film and broadcast productions, directing and overseeing the work within our VFX department while providing technical and artistic leadership. The CG Supervisor works closely with the VFX Supervisor to define the creative direction, RnD and Look Dev of projects.       • Lead teams of artists to produce creative work of the exceptional standard with which Territory Studio has made its name. Working closely with artists throughout the life of projects, ensuring they understand the goals and deadlines for their work and bringing them back on track when required.

      • In conjunction with the VFX Supervisor, lead the look development and review all technical and R&D requirements for the start-up of new shows.

      A Cinematic Designers primary role is assisting in the setup, implementation, and maintenance of real-time, in-engine cutscenes. You are responsible for creating complete cinematic sequences that support the director’s vision through the appropriate use of staging, blocking, composition, lighting, and editing.       Lead Level Artist

      • Review the client’s package with Art Director to check if there are any problems with reference materials or requirements
      • Ensure all artists understand art requirements and specific needs of the project
      • Cooperate with Art Director and Producer to composite the team and estimate the time for project
      • In the briefing meeting, check with the Artist whether or not they are ready to use the tools by reviewing a sample asset together and asking some specific questions
      • Check daily work according to this schedule and tell Producer about the risks and propose solutions
