As a marketing artist, you’re all about first impressions, which is why your work would be perfect for this studio working on an original IP AAA Sci-Fi MMO.

You’ll be responsible for driving the development of visually stunning work in Unreal Engine, using game ready assets to create finished products such as static imagery, video, and gifs, all the way through to illustrations and in-game content to support them in engaging with their community and encouraging new players to try the game!

Your work will go towards increasing engagement and acquisition rates from their media and with you implementing a recognizable visual identity and tone across the whole project you’ll be a key part of the marketing content strategy for this project.

You’re also going to be responsible for setting the quality bar of the work produced and be the key person who assesses the suitability of other creative content produced in tandem too.

This isn’t just an opportunity to create phenomenal marketing artwork to help sell a game, but a chance to really leave your mark on a fantastic, exciting project and forward-thinking studio. This is your chance to take this role and make it your own, in the direction you want to go!

Skills & Requirements

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be an expert in the use of 3D tools such as 3DSMax, Maya & ZBrush with experience creating content in Unreal Engine and knowledge of render pipelines.

You’ll be very skilled in creation tools such as After Effects, Premiere, Final Cut, Photoshop, Illustrator, and inDesign.

You’re going to have worked in a KPI-driven environment in the past and if you have experience with things like copywriting and motion design, that would be incredibly helpful too! Along with a knowledge of how GenZ uses and consume gaming and content.

If you have experience creating your own original content/campaigns, we’d love to see some examples of this to support your application but equally, if you’d rather wait before sharing, that’s fine too.

About the Company

Sharkmob is on an epic journey, and we want you to join us! Come explore new territory in the realm of AAA online gaming. Our studios are working on three major projects: Bloodhunt - a battle royale set in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe currently in Early Access; and two proprietary, unannounced projects. We are looking for people who want to have fun at work, share ownership, and make smart decisions. Responsible people who have a positive attitude, are passionate, and value professionalism. People that follow our guiding principle, “don’t be an asshole.”

Have fun making games

We are fortunate to work with things we are passionate about and we have the privilege of creating entertainment for others to enjoy. We believe that if we have fun making games, people will have fun playing them. Fun is also about daring to do mighty things that allow us to reach levels of achievement. All things said, we want a fun, professional experience & so we all must lead by example.

Share the ownership

We want everyone to feel like they have a stake in the games we make. Our games are not the brainchild of a few people - we own them together. Everyone’s contributions, opinion, and feedback matters. For this to work, everyone needs to respect the big picture and high-level goals of the project. Shared ownership is at the heart of the Sharkmob adventure.

Make smart decisions

We embrace a system of "disagree and commit". This means that we accept that we might not always get our way but we wholeheartedly support decisions we make as a team. Doing more with less and making an extra effort to find the optimal way forward is always valued. We rely on smart decisions to take us further than otherwise possible. Making games is kind of like rocket science—but harder!
