Umbral Entertainment
Remote

Job Description

Umbral is looking to contract a 2D Artist to create:

  • Character portraits
  • Multi-character scenes
  • Environment Art

The preferred art style should be semi-realistic, not cartoony. The tone is darker, romantic, and gothic: but not horror.

In the tradition of older JRPG & RPG's (example: https://baldursgate.fandom.com/wiki/Portraits), or the most recent comparison, XCOM Chimera Squad (example: https://youtu.be/86sOvy6wwOk?t=58). Note: Neither of these links are examples of the art style we are looking for, only their intended use.

We will also need multi-character 2D scenes, for cutscenes, loading screens, bonus material, web-use, and advertising.

Additionally but not required, an environment artist will also be needed in the future. If that is also in your interest let us know, but the current position will be selected solely for character art.
