The position of Matte Painter requires someone with knowledge of 3D software, with 3 years + experience in a similar role working on broadcast or film projects. Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple tasks in a fast paced production. They will have a well-developed 'eye' and excellent working knowledge of colour, art and design.

Skills & Requirements

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Work with the Art Director and TDs to deliver Matte Paintings for the Project.
  • Troubleshoot areas where Matte Paintings can be used more effectively.
  • Create set extensions for existing 3D Locations.

Person Specifications:

  • Must have very strong painting skills with wide variety of experience in different styles
  • Excellent working knowledge of Photoshop
  • Good understanding of compositing Pipeline where Matte paintings and set extensions are employed (required)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced production environment

3D Team Lead

Job Description

As a 3D Team Lead at SPRING Production, you will lead a team of lighting/rendering artists and work together with the other Team Leads. You will plan and execute 3D projects ranging from still images to full 3D animations. You need to be an expert in lighting and rendering and have a good understanding of the other aspects of 3D production. You are expected to know all the ins and outs of Maya and V-Ray and be able to adapt to new software such as Redshift and Deadline. Senior 3D Environment Artist

Blue Isle Studios is looking for an exceptionally skilled senior environment artist to join our team. Your focus will be on creating large scale, immersive environments and atmospheres for players while remaining conscious of polygon limits, draw calls and fill rate. Post-Production Support Technician

In this position, you will be assigned projects by the Engineering Manager to lead, perform, and complete to department standards and will assist the Engineering Manager with the setup, operation, and repair of multi-cam television systems and media creation studios, such as motion capture. The Post-Production Support Technician also provides input in the budget and procurement of new studio and post-production technology and recommends upgrades when necessary to current technology.

The ideal candidate must have experience with supporting, repairing, and assembling Avid, Avid Isis Servers, and Avid Media Composer systems as well as experience with Mac- and Windows-based computers, networking, storage area networks, and data management as it relates to digital media systems. The candidate must also have a minimum of five years’ work-related experience in the areas of video editing and post-production operations, Avid ACSR ISIS 5000 system support, and Avid ACSR editing systems support.   • Collaborating with prop artists, animators and rigging technical artists to assemble complex layered vehicle destructions and prop destructions using our propriety scripting language and tools.
  • Building baked rigid body simulation in-game via Maya and our proprietary scripting language and particle tool to replicate structural destruction animations.
  • Creating textures for particle usage.
  • Populating environmental VFX in game using our propriety scripting language.
  • Tackling runtime rendering performance to help maintain the game running at 60FPS.
  • Resolving technical challenges when arise in order to maintain the highest visual bar.

Skills & Requirements

Player Profile:

  • At least 7+ years of visual effects development
  • Solid professional experience and knowledge of the limitations and performance of current generation hardware (Xbox One, PS4).
  • Proficient in using Maya and Photoshop.
  • Experienced in using After Effects.
